Most of earth's inhabitants are not prepared for or expecting any of the world wide changes that are occurring and that will impact them personally.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: (Isaiah 60:20)
Some time ago, God, spoke of the widespread misconception and lack of understanding that would prevail in the last days of earth's history. While great changes are taking place in the government and control of nations and the world generally, many are asleep as to the meaning of these things.
Through the use of symbols in prophecy, God has communicated to human beings His great love and care for us by giving us an outline of future events. This He does in order that we may have enough time to prepare for the circumstances ahead and so that we can make the right choices after gaining a clear understanding of the issues that will be involved.
In the book of Revelation, we have a description of the United States through Bible prophetic symbols. Notice the words of Scripture...
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. (Revelation 13:11)
However, the word kingdom in the Bible is used interchangeably with the word nation in the Bible to mean the same thing. kingdom = nation. Look at the examples below as we continue to compare Scripture with Scripture to gain an understanding.
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together:(Isaiah 13:4)
